Youth Pathways is a program designed to support youth who are experiencing barriers affecting their engagement in school. The program provides support for a number of issues ranging from Low Level school achievement, dissatisfaction at school, to issues which occur outside of school but affect school participation including homelessness and family disconnectedness. Youth Pathways provides one on one sessions as well as allowing for group work, to build confidence in youth and allow them to develop skills such as leadership and team work. The CuuriousWorks Pilbara Project, allowed Newman participants of the Youth Pathways program an opportunity to experience working on a media presentation as well as facilitated discussion on current youth issues, and comparisons of perspective of youth issues past and future.
